Cardamom Chicken Recipe

A homemade fragrant chicken curry that is a rick blend of spices and taste.
It’s a deliciously creamy and hearty dish for a scrumptious meal.



  • Chicken breasts, diced into cubes
  • 4-5 chopped garlic cloves, roughly chopped
  • Chopped ginger root
  • 2 green chilies chopped ( you can adjust this according to taste)
  • Chopped coriander
  • 2 onions roughly diced
  • 3-4  tbsp ghee or vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 10 – 12 cardamom pods
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 2 cumin powder
  • 1 tsp fenugreek powder
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 5-6 ripe tomatoes
  • 100 ml yogurt or double cream (You may choose to use both)


1. Add about 2 Tbsp of oil in a skillet, add the chicken pieces and cook until brown. Keep aside one done.

2. Blend the garlic, ginger, chillies and coriander into a fine paste.

3. Heat the veg oil/ ghee in a skillet and fry the onions until they turn golden brown. Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a further 5-7 mins.

4. Add the turmeric, cumin, garam masala, fenugreek and cook until fragrant.

5. Add the cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and tomatoes. Add salt to taste

6. Add the some water (200-300 ml) to the mixture and bring to boil.

7. Add the cooked chicken to the skillet and cook until the sauce reduces.

8. Just before removing from the flame, stir in the yogurt or cream.

9. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Avocado Milkshake

Avocados are one of the healthiest foods there is. They are rich in 25 essential nutrients, including vitamin A, B, C, E, & K. In addition, it’s a rich source of copper, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, and potassium. Avocados also contain a certain amount of proteins and fibres.

2 to 3 cups cold milk

1 or 2 ripe avocados

3 -4  tablespoons sugar, or to taste (check the avocado for bitter taste)

A couple of ice cubes


Peel the avocado and cut in half and discard the pit. Scoop out the fleshy part.

In a blender add the avocado, milk and sugar. Blend until it’s creamy and smooth.

You can adjust the consistency of the milk shake by adding and reducing the quantity of milk.

Finally put the ice cubes in the blender and run it for another minute.

Pour into glasses, and serve chilled.

Sol Kadhi Recipe

Sol Kadhi (kokam fruit  in coconut milk) is an exotic Indian drink from the Konkan region of Maharashtra. It helps to cool down your system and is often had as an appetizer. Also Kokum helps in the digestion process. Solkadhi  can be served either chilled or at room temperature.

The binomial name for Kokum is Garcinia Indica and that of Mangosteen is Garcinia mangostana.



  • Black Wet Kokum – 8-10 pcs
  • Hot Water – 1 cup
  • Coconut Milk –  oz (approx)
  • Garlic -2-3 cloves
  • Green Chili – to taste, finely chopped
  • Asafoetida – 1/2 pinch
  • Salt – to taste
  • Sugar – to taste
  • Corriander Leaves – for garnishing


1. Soak the Kokum in the hot water for about an hour.

2. Grind the garlic, asafoetida and chilly to a fine paste and add the coconut milk to it.

3. To this mixture add the kokum water, salt and sugar

4. Mix well and garnish with corriander leaves.

Vegan Oats Balls Recipe

For all the snackers out there, here’s a recipe that will allow you to snack guilt free. It’s a no- bake, simple  vegan recipe that you can make in 10 minutes flat.

  •     1/2 cup peanut butter
  •     1 cup dry oatmeal  (quick oats)
  •    1 teaspoon cocoa powder or ½  cup chocolate chips
  •    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  •    1/4 cup dry coconut flakes
  •    1 tablespoon  honey or maple syrup


  1. In a large bowl, add the peanut butter, oats, cocoa, vanilla, coconut and honey and mix thoroughly.
  2. Coat hands with a little butter or oil (to prevent the balls from sticking to the palm)
  3. Roll the mixture into balls of about 1” diameter.
  4. Refrigerate the balls for about 1-2 hours or until completely set.
  5. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week

Organic Strawberry Soup

2 pounds fresh organic strawberries (you might use the frozen variety as well)
500ml  plain organic yogurt
1/4  cup dry red wine or champagne(In case you’re making it for the kids, replace the alcohol with orange juice)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cups water
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom


  1. Blend strawberries in blender until smooth.
  2. Slowly add the yogurt and blend further.
  3. Mix the wine/champagne/orange juice with water and cardamom powder and add the solution to the strawberry mix.
  4. Stir to mix well and chill in the refrigerator for 1 -2 hours
  5. Garnish with  fresh organic strawberries and mint leaves.
